Pond Size

 Having Goldfish again in my small apartment in Switzerland has presented its challenges. The biggest challenge is space and building or buying an adequate pond for a few fish. In the end I decided to build a custom planter pot pond that would accommodate two fantails. It’s 140cm x 60cm x 31cm. This way I still have space to walk on my balcony and the goldfish have enough litres to hopefully live a healthy life. The pond is also on wheels so I can move it to clean underneath.

I have many plants in the planter and it has been an awesome way to keep the water clear and clean all summer long. 

The plants also add such a nice green space to my balcony. Loving the space God has given me to be creative and to enjoy his creation!

Fantail Goldfish in Switzerland

 It has been a long time since I have posted.

I have since moved to Switzerland and no longer have a big yard to raise fish. Instead I have a small balcony. However the climate here is so similar to Canada that two years ago I started raising fantails again. I have two red and white fantails. They are 3 years old and thriving outside in their pond, both summer and winter. We will see if these two are boys or girls very soon.  

I guess once a fantail hobbyist, always a fantail hobbyist.
